Victory is sweet after a long season, which comes to an end next week

The Hawks completed their regular season on November 9 against Pace with their first victory of the season. They will compete on the 16th at Bentley in the NE-10 Championship weekend, competing against the number six home team. Standing at 1-18 in the conference, the Hawks are seed nine.

 

Soccer teams lose final games; Women just missing semifinals

The Men’s soccer team took the field one last time on Nov. 1, losing to American International to make their conference record 1-12. The Women’s team made it all the way to the NE-10 quarterfinals on November 5, but lost narrowly to Adlephi 2-1 after defeating Le Moyne only three days earlier in double overtime.

 

Cross Country teams round out season at NCAA East Regional

The Men’s cross country team finished in 23rd at the NCAA East Regional, held in Boston at Franklin Park on November 10. Out of 28 teams, the Hawks amassed 602 points. The Women’s team took 12th place out of 26 at the same race with 333 points.

 

Sullivan heats up as Hockey season begins again

Men’s hockey competed in two games this past weekend, against Babson on the 8th and against UMass Boston on the 9th. They lost to Babson 3-1, but came within inches of defeating UMass Boston, having lost 4-3 in overtime. Their next games are the 15th and 16th against Castleton and Skidmore, both at home. The Women’s team has played four games thus far, winning against UMass Boston, Sacred Heart, and Neumann, then losing to Neumann the day after their victory 5-4. Their next games are the 15th and 16th against Nichols and Manhattanville, both at home.

 

Field Hockey comes just shy of postseason spot

The Field Hockey team lost their chance into the postseason through defeat at Assumption on November 3. They finished the season with a 4-6 conference record.

 

Volleyball hopes for a spike in wins as they finish season on 16th

The Volleyball team lost to Southern Connecticut State on the 10th after being defeated by New Haven the day prior, leaving them with a record of 2-11 in the conference and 7-19 overall. The team will finish its season on the 16th at Assumption.

 

Basketball teams begin new season, Women creating solid record at start

The Women’s basketball team has competed in two games, winning both against Georgian Court and LIU Post. Their next games are on the 13th against Bentley at home and the 17th at Chestnut Hill. The Men’s team will open their season on the 13th against Bentley at home.
