Patriots fall to Seahawks in a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX

The New England Patriots lost a back-and-forth decision on Sunday night Nov. 13 to the Seattle Seahawks 31-24. This was the first time the team’s had played since the epic match in Super Bowl XLIX. Seattle was able to have a goal line stand at the very end of the game to prevent the Pats from scoring. New England failed four times from inside the two yard line and as a result dropped the first home contest of the season and now stand at 7-2 this year.

Bruins have won three consecutive games, 10-6 on the season

The Boston Bruins have started to play some strong hockey of late. They have won their last three contests outscoring their opponents 9-3 defeating Columbus, Arizona and Colorado. Tuukka Rask stopped all 20 shots in the team’s most recent victory versus the Colorado Avalanche. David Pastranak leads the Bruins in goals with 10. Boston next plays at the Minnesota Wild Thurs, Nov. 17 at 8, but the results were not available at the time of print.

Celtics are an even .500 on the year so far, 6-5

The Boston Celtics have started the season 6-5 through their first 11 games and continue their up and down play to this point. Their most recent contest was a 90-83 win against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at TD Garden. They suffered a one-point loss Nov. 14 to the New Orleans Pelicans, 106-105. Isaiah Thomas leads the team in points averaging nearly 27 points per game. Avery Bradley is getting 18.5 points per contest with 8 rebounds each time out. The Celtics next play Friday, Nov. 18 against the Golden State Warriors at home.
