As my time as College Democrats President comes to an end, I would like to reflect on the past year. After a few years of relative inactivity, College Democrats has triumphantly resumed a position in the campus community. Last November, we participated in the NHIOP debate with the College Republicans. During the celebration of Black History Month, we planned events with the Intercultural Center. We’ve hosted tables at TEDA’s annual Visibility Day. Lastly, we co-sponsored a debate with the debate team, College Republicans, and NHIOP Ambassadors. While I wish we could have done more this year, many factors contributed to the lack of presence on campus. I am confident that next year’s leadership team, headed by Owen Bland ‘27 and Grace Blais ‘25, can build upon the successes we’ve had this year for many years to come.
