As a conservative 20-year-old woman, I am pleased to say that I now have found role models in the modern media that share my values. But it has not always been this way. In 2020, when I first started my political and spiritual journeys, I found a slew of conservative middle-aged men like Michael Knowles and Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire, but no young women who came from similar backgrounds as myself and who I could see myself in. (No disrespect to either men, but especially Michael Knowles, my favorite Daily Wire gent and the ultimate cigar savant.) In late March 2022, I discovered Brett Cooper who had just launched her Daily Wire show “The Comments Section with Brett Cooper” that same month. Since then, I have found many other conservative women and women of faith who share my values and just seem like cool people you would want to be friends with. I’d like to share some of these women with my peers just in case you are struggling to find women who share your values in the modern media scene. While these women are all conservative and Christian, I believe that they serve as role models for everyone-simply in their career prowess, ambition, and dedication to their causes. No matter your political views, all these women can be admired objectively for their hard work.
- Isabel Brown
Isabel Brown is a 27-year-old full-time content creator and host of The Isabel Brown Show. She streams live daily and is a Gen Z conservative voice in pop culture and politics. Brown is a Turning Point USA contributor and spokesperson. She is the author of two books, “Frontlines: Finding My Voice on an American College Campus” and “The End of the Alphabet: How Gen Z Can Save America”. The former was published in 2021 and details a “shocking and honest account of the culture war at American universities” and heeds a message of pursuing true ideological diversity. The latter was published in 2024 and is a hopeful message that urges Gen Zers to “embrace conservative values” and take up roles of responsibility and make our voices heard. I read Brown’s “End of the Alphabet”, and I quite enjoyed it. It’s optimistic while looking at statistics and examples of what Gen Z conservative figures and students are doing to fight for what they believe in. Isabel Brown lives in Colorado with her husband, Brock, and their corgi, Liberty.
- Lila Rose
Lila Rose is an anti-abortion activist and host of The Lila Rose Show where she discusses relationships, identity, faith, and health. At just 15 years old, Lila Rose started Live Action in her living room with the goal of exposing what abortion does to a preborn child. In 2008, Live Action was established as a legal nonpartisan and nonprofit organization. Live Action’s goal today is to educate, investigate, and inspire people to stand up against abortion and speak for the most vulnerable members of the community. Rose is the author of “Fighting for Life: Becoming a Force for Change in a Wounded World”, which was published in 2021. The book explores personal stories from Lila’s journey to activism and tries to inspire the reader to fight for a cause they believe in. Lila Rose is a wife and mother of three children earthside, and one in Heaven. Rose is a champion of her cause and has devoted her life to her fight and family.
- Brett Cooper
Brett Cooper is the 23-year-old host of the Daily Wire’s “The Comment Section with Brett Cooper”. Perhaps my favorite on this list, simply for her relatability, Cooper has overcome each obstacle thrown at her. While going through a difficult family situation and childhood, Cooper got into the Hollywood acting scene. After starting college early, at the age of 17 at UCLA, Brett became wary of the increasing political tension on her campus and started to find that being true to yourself is no easy task among your peers. She has detailed losing friends when she started to get involved with conservative politics, and she has contributed to PragerU and Young America’s Foundation for Liberty, before joining the Daily Wire. “The Comments Section” hit one million subscribers on YouTube in just four months after launching. Currently, the channel has 4.5 million subscribers and Brett has one million followers on Instagram. The show focuses on pop culture, politics, and more “common sense” takes. Cooper lives just outside Nashville, Tennessee and is in the process of building a farm with her husband, Alex, to whom she got married in March of this year. Currently on their farm, they have horses, cows, ducks, and pigs. The dream! She enjoys thrifting and is set to star in DailyWire+’s The Pendragon Cycle show and their Snow White film, both of which are forthcoming.
- Tulsi Gabbard
Tulsi Gabbard is an American Politician and was a Democrat turned Independent in 2022 until early November 2024 when she announced her switch to the Republican Party. A Hawaiian native, Gabbard served as a Congresswoman for Hawaii’s House of Representatives in 2002. Gabbard served in the military for Hawaii’s Army National Guard from 2003-2020 and joined the US Army Reserve in 2020 as Lieutenant Colonel. She was a 2020 Democrat Presidential Candidate. On November 13, 2024, after having joined the Republican Party and endorsing President Donald Trump for the 47th President of the United States, Tulsi Gabbard was tapped as President-Elect Trump’s Director of National Intelligence for his upcoming administration. Despite any controversy Gabbard faces, it is certain that she aims to advocate for the Freedom of all Americans and has done so for her whole career. Earlier this year, Gabbard published her second book “For Love of Country: Leave the Democrat Party Behind”, which details her political journey and why she left the Democrat Party. Gabbard is an articulate debater and a great example of a strong and capable woman. Most of all, Gabbard is an independent thinker and a freedom fighter.
