In a news story from Nov. 18, 2016, The Saint Anselm Crier made two errors in reporting on a discussion sponsored by the group Unhooked on the status of marriage. Father Benedict Guevin, O.S.B., of the Department of Theology, presented first, followed by Prof. Dale Kuehne, of the Department of Politics and an ordained Protestant minister. Father Benedict did not claim that “marriage was a thing of the past.” This was simply a rhetorical question that served as the title of the talk along with, “Is marriage a thing of the future.” The Crier regrets these errors.
