Saint Anselm ‘Days of Giving’ to take place March 22-23

Patrick Hollister, Special to the Crier

As the month of March is in full swing, the Saint Anselm community is reminded how hectic the end of the spring semester can be. Between Relay for Life, school formals, athletic events, Pinning ceremonies and the like, there is always something to attend during these last 8 weeks.  But before our campus finds itself in the depths of these events, we can turn to one event happening during the third week of March- Days of Giving.

Days of Giving are an event hosted by the office of Annual Giving here at the college, designed to promote giving back to the school through donations. Annual giving is looking to foster as many donors as possible throughout the 48-hour event, from Alumni, students, parents, and faculty and staff.

This year’s event theme of Anselmian Moments encourages the Anselmian community at large to give back in support of the programs that made their experience on the hilltop so unique or memorable. What some may not know about Days of Giving is that every penny donated to the college goes directly back to student support, whether that be through scholarships, athletics, Anselmian Life, and so on. Last year, over 1,000 alumni, parents, students, faculty and staff donors came together to contribute more than $280,000 to the college. This year, there is new programming in store to give the community more opportunities and incentives to give back.

To kick off this year’s Days of Giving, which are taking place on March 22 and 23, The Annual Giving Team has planned a Days of Giving kickoff event in the coffee shop on Tuesday, March 21 from 10PM-12AM. Seniors will be able to enjoy a Pub Night with free food and trivia provided by King Edward Society. Underclassmen can participate free food and trivia in the coffee shop that evening as well.

As the event approaches, be on the lookout for more promotional material highlighting the event!
