Annual Gingerbread House Contest attracts 400 students to Davison

Ashley Dumont, Crier Staff

On Wednesday, December 3rd, the annual Gingerbread House Competition took place at Davison Hall. Students from each class formed teams and came to participate in this year’s contest.

Every year students get very creative coming up with ways to decorate their houses. Much planning goes into the design of each house. The Davison staff provides the decorations and other supplies needed to decorate the houses.

Contestants are given approximately two hours to decorate their masterpieces as they like. This year students made houses out of various candies, frostings, cereal, gingerbread, and many other things.

There were houses that were replicas of Snoopy’s doghouse, the house from the Pixar movie UP, Christmas trees, Starbucks and many more creative ideas.

The annual Gingerbread House Competition is very competitive among the student body, yet they and the staff show great school spirit.

The houses are currently displayed in Davison for students to vote for their favorites. The deadline for voting is December 11th and the winners will be chosen based on student votes so get out and vote…..
